Faith was selected to create an art piece/ installation for the grand opening of the Uniqlo store located at THE BLOC DTLA. This project was achieved from dead-stock fabric which would normally be thrown away, adding to the waste problem currently existing in the fashion industry. This was a team project, which she worked on with Ray Wang, a fellow FIDM Alumnus.

Their design philosophy:

“Inspired by our heritage, we designed a traditional Japanese kimono and incorporated an African print, with a collection of symbols focusing on ideas such as “performing the unusual.” Our design is a true reflection of the diverse society today, with ultimate goals of inclusivity and unity.”

Both students were recognized with a certificate of appreciation from the Mayor of Los Angeles due to the sustainability initiative carried out in the project.
